The beginning of the Ideal Salsicharia activity dates back to 1968.
At this time, it was a family company, deeply attached to the land from which it sprang. The success achieved, echoing the primacy of its meats and sausages, demanded its infrastructural and human reedification, manifested in the consolidated admission of a growing number of collaborators and in the reformulation of its operationality.
The year 2001 marks a new stage in the company's existence, with the transition to new manufacturing facilities, created from scratch and provided with all the necessary conditions for technological development and strict compliance with the dogmatic hygiene standards of this type of industry.
It makes available for sale, in the form of butchery pieces, or used in the synthesis of diversified sausage products, with emphasis on the typical products of São Miguel and, within these, some endemic to Ribeira Grande.
Salsicharia Ideal M.J.C.M., Lda. supports a series of sale units (butcher shops), strategically located in the island of São Miguel, to which it adds an efficient mobile distribution network, being, in this context, the only company in the Region qualified for ambulant sale. It is driven by the desideratum of proximity and good service.
