Santo Amaro Regional Handicraft School
Founded in 1986 and located in the municipality of São Roque do Pico, the Santo Amaro Regional School of Handicrafts aims to keep alive the tradition of handicraft production, through its teaching and dissemination.
In 2014, the school received the CoMtradition-Azores Craftsmanship Award.

São João Forest Park
Located in the parish of São João, this forest park is home to a variety of endemic flora species, such as Faia-da-Terra, Urze, Sanguinho, among others.
In other times, a chapel dedicated to Saint John the Baptist was located here. However, this was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the year 1718. Thus, in 1934, a memorial was erected in the park by the parish council of São João.
Poça das Mujas
This natural pool of volcanic origin is an idyllic place for a relaxing swim. Its crystal clear waters contrast beautifully with the dark tones of the surrounding rock formations.
Due to its lack of infrastructure, the Poça das Mujas maintains a natural appearance, making it an exciting place for any nature lover.
Caiado Lagoon
With a total area of about 5.50 hectares, Caiado Lagoon is the largest lagoon on the island of Pico and is located at an altitude of 821 meters.
Besides the landscape that the lake provides, it is not only surrounded by endemic vegetation, but also an excellent place for birdwatching, where you can find species such as woodcocks, grey herons, among others.
