The Angra do Heroísmo Museum is a geo-referenced museum, where the local, regional, national and world plans intersect and complement each other, since the strategic location and history place the islands of the Azores in a global political context and, within this, Terceira Island and the city of Angra with its centralities.
Hence, the Angra do Heroísmo Museum is a synthesis museum, where one seeks to reflect, at the same time, a history with its political-economic facts and movements marked by the Atlantic domain and a culture in its multiple forms and meanings generated and shaped by an insular existence.
