Museum located in Guadalupe, Santa Cruz da Graciosa, part of the Municipality of Santa Cruz.
It is a 19th Century House, with its own features and unique characteristics, in Graciosa Island, the Azores, Portugal and Europe. You can see the whole history of a people in one space.
All the existing filling of the museu was given by the Graciosa people, collected over 23 years.
Here you can know the daily life of the Graciosenses from the end of the nineteenth century until the mid-eighties of the twentieth century.
The João Tomáz Bettencourt Jr. store was converted into a museum shop according to UNESCO standards, with the collaboration of Dr. Rui Sousa Martins, Professor of Museology at the University of the Azores, who with his commitment and dedication set it up.
Visit us from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
