Paul Valley - The black gold from the Azores since 1999

The black basalt that embraces us from the origin of everything in the Azores is the source of inspiration for the creations of goldsmith.

The volcanic rock, the ground we walk and that connects us to the sea, enriched by crafted gold or silver, is framed in to beautiful and precious jewelry made by the hand of the creator Paul Vale.

The colors, brightness and textures of the basalt gives these pieces their own boldness of the most modern creations formed by the most industrious talent.

At the same time, the simplicity of the work makes it possible that these contemporary jewels can be used as an accessory or add-on for day to day garmet.

Combining this natural, simple but powerful element, of genuine Portuguese craft, Paulo do Vale shows through his artistic creations his way of being and a piece of his motherland in the middle of the Atlantic.

Paulo do Vale graduated at Porto in jewelery and is, par excellence, an artisan goldsmith, profession that accumulates with the role of evaluator and official assayer of the Mint and caretaker of the treasure of the Holy Christ of Miracles, one of the largest devotional treasures of Europe
